In support of National Autism Awareness Month, ServiceMaster Cleaning & Restoration by Clean in a Wink is honored to partner with Heartspring’s Community of Autism Resources and Education (CARE) Program for the second year to be a Puzzle Pal pin-up location for autism awareness.
Puzzle Pals for autism support are available now for $1/each at ServiceMaster Cleaning & Restoration by Clean in a Wink and will be displayed in our central office throughout the month. This cause is near and dear to ServiceMaster Cleaning & Restoration by Clean in a Wink owners Jerry and Lisa Winkley, who have an autistic son and employ several individuals impacted by autism.
It’s easy to ‘Be a Pal’ and help – simply tell your ServiceMaster Cleaning & Restoration by Clean in a Wink technician or office representative that you’d like to show your support by purchasing a Puzzle Pal piece for $1 (or a donation amount of your choice). Your donations will go to the CARE Program at the end of April to help those impacted by autism in our community.
The puzzle piece is a widely-used emblem for autism awareness. According to a recent study from the CDC, 1 in 68 children are diagnosed with autism in the United States. Heartspring’s CARE Program serves more than 600 local children and families impacted by autism each year. Services include education and private consultations, summer camps and social groups for individuals with autism. The CARE Program provides resources that ultimately enhance the lives of those impacted by an autism spectrum disorder.
The Puzzle Pal program is part of the overall fundraising effort for the 7th annual Autism CARE Walk on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Wichita’s downtown WaterWalk.
